Designed and launched RheumX, a clinical decision support tool for rheumatology professionals. Incorporates 16 validated scoring calculators (DAS28, CDAI, SDAI, SLEDAI, and others), interactive joint mapping vectors, visual trend charts for tracking patient disease activity over time, treatment guidance, differential diagnosis assistance, dosing recommendations, and AI-powered clinical insights.
The problem
Rheumatologists calculate complex multi-joint scoring formulas on paper during patient consults — slowing workflow, increasing error risk, and leaving no structured data trail for longitudinal tracking.
The approach
Developed a native Swift/SwiftUI iOS app with full offline capability. Built interactive joint maps with vector visual selectors for both hands, feet, and spine assessments. Added patient progress dashboards using SwiftUI Charts. Integrated AI-powered clinical insights via an on-device and cloud inference layer. Validated every medical formula against published clinical criteria.
Outcome
Shipped to the Apple App Store. Actively used by clinicians to streamline assessment workflows during patient consultations — reducing per-patient scoring time from minutes to seconds.
